You must have at least completed this level once. (including the boss)
Enter the level and find the Mario red hat marker on the minimap and find the goomba/enemy wearing the hat and kill it. You should now turn into Mario. DO NOT let an enemy hurt you or you will change back to Yoshi(if that happens find another marker.) Go back to the part of the level near the start and pink bombs and you will find a large Koopa Troopa. Talk to him and he will challenge you to a race.

Open the treasure chest and get the air bubble and open the box.
For the second time, grab the star at the end of the eel's tail.
For the third time, find the hole in the caverns/cliffs under the water and pass through.
Avoid the gombos and meteors and go round and open the treasure chests in the correct order.
