During the game

Explore nicely and thoroughly because this game is not like other games where you can't go into areas outside of the game which appear to be scenery. You will usually find lums and other areas if you explore closely so don't always do what Murfy says first. For example, there could be a lum on top of some vines in the place where Murfy tells you to go but if you explore the secret passageway you could find yourself on top of the vines and you could collect the lum easily. Note: This is a real example from the game.
