To survive flood, the best way is to keep a close weapon with you (energy sword, gravity hammer, or shotgun) and a regular ranged weapon (like a assault rifle, or battle rifle) and never melee anything. If you get a vehicle in one of the levels use a fast one (like a ghost or warthog) not a slow one (like a tank or wraith).
