Retro Game Tips for Killzone 2 (PlayStation 3)

This isn't as 'in depth' as the ribbon guide as most of the trophies are fairly self explnatory and 99% of them probably don't even need any info other than what's in the trophy description. That said, there are a few trophies that still get posts appearing on the forum asking the best way to do them, exact requirements etc.
Rather than repeat a lot of the info which is already found in other places, and discussed in much greater depth than I have time to go into, I've supplied links to the threads that have the most useful info in(If any authors aren't happy with me linking their threads, please drop me a PM and i'll ask a mod to remove them)
War Hero - The shiny platinum trophy that's awarded to you once you get all the trophies that KZ2 offers(NOTE: This does not include the additional trophies added in the DLC pack)
Corinth Ribbon - Complete Corinth River on any difficulty level
Blood Ribbon - Complete Blood Meridian on any difficulty level
Visari Ribbon - Complete Visari Square on any difficulty level
Salamun Ribbon - Complete Salamun District on any difficulty level
Bridge Ribbon - Complete Salamun Bridge on any difficulty level
Suljeva Ribbon - Complete Suljeva Village on any difficulty level
Tharsis Ribbon - Complete Tharsis Refinery on any difficulty level
Cruiser Ribbon - Complete The Cruiser on any difficulty level
Maelstra Ribbon - Complete Maelstra Barrens on any difficulty level
Survivor - Complete all missions on any difficulty level
Heroic Survivor - Complete all missions on Elite difficulty level. This is one tough trophy to get and there really isn't much useful advice I can give other than persevere and keep trying. That said, there is a thread HERE that contains some tips on the boss fight which is particularly tough.
Pallbearer - Kill 500 Helghast. This isn't 500 Helghast in one game but 500 Helghast in total so you can play through a couple of times to pick this up
Undertaker - Kill 1000 Helghast. Like Pallbearer, this is overall total, not in one play through
Reaper - Kill 1500 Helghast. Like Pallbearer, this is overall total, not in one play through(not even sure you can get 1,500 kills in one play through, if so it should be renamed Genocide!)
Field Agent - Collect all intel. There's various intel documents scattered throughout the game that you can view on Killzone.com once you've collected them. The best place I found for getting the locations of them all was THIS handy video guide.
Iconoclast - Destroy all symbols. There are Helghan symbols hidden all over the place that need to be shot to get this trophy and i'm going to recommend the same video guide that I did for the intel which is THIS
Untouchable - Complete all missions on any difficulty level without dying. The best way to do this is complete the game once then go into Mission Select. It will then tell you in there what the record number of deaths is each for each section and you can simply replay those sections over and over until you clerar them. If you die and it asks if you want to go to the last checkpoint you need to say no and go to the last Section instead.
Babysitter - Revive 25 Buddies. When Rico and the rest of your useless team mates drop to the floor just run over and zap them with the Med-Ray. You can do this over any number of any play through's, doesn't all have to be in one game.
Elementalslayer - Kill the Arc Trooper found in Tharsis Depot within 1 minute 30 seconds
Giantslayer - Kill the Heavy on Blood Meridian within 1 minute
Dragonslayer - Destroy the Salamun Bridge ATAC within 1 minute 30 seconds. Some people struggle with this as they aren't aware of the tunnel underneath where you start so keep an eye out. A couple of other tips are to use the pistol to shoot the Petrucite rods to stop you having to pick up RPG ammo and also that you can actually get two RPG's off each time you zap the ATAC if you're quick.
Demonslayer - Kill Radec within 20 minutes. The timer starts as soon as Radec sends his waves of men against you
NOTE - The next three can all be done together.
Blade Runner - 75 kills with the knife
Berserker - Kill 25 Helghast with melee attacks. You'll pick this one up fairly easily and can be combined with the Safari Hunter one by just playing through on easy.
Safari Hunter - Kill each enemy infantry type with a melee attack. First off, this means the knife or just clubbing them with your gun, some people think only knife kills count but this is not true. There are 14 in total and if you look in your stats it will tell you how many you have killed, unfortunately it doesn't tell you what ones you've killed. It's also possible to have 13/14 in your stats but still get your trophy. This is because the trophy is awarded as soon as you get the last one but stats are only updated when you reach a checkpoint. The two most common ones to miss are the snipers which are unique to Suljeva Village and the Elite Shock Troopers as only 4 of them appear in one spot just after you exit the elevator on the Cruiser level. Radec and Heavies are not included in the 14

Bullet Counter - Manually reload your weapon 150 times, just spam square whenever you get the chance
Safety First - Shoot off 100 Helghast helmets during battle. You'll pick this up just from playing through but one tip is that you can actually shoot the helmets off of Hig's you've already killed.
Barrel of Death - Kill 3 Helghast using your environment. This means shooting something that goes BOOM and can take out 3 Higs in one go and there's a nice Youtube clip of a good spot on Tharsis.
Professional - 3 revolver headshots from 1 clip without reloading. The best place for this is Tharsis Refinery if you're really struggling and there's a nice Youtube clip HERE
NOTE - I've grouped the following four trophies together as they can all be done in the exact same spot. As soon as you start the Cruiser level and go up the first elevator a Leech Pod will come crashing through the wall and spew out a load of Higs. Just keep re-loading for multiple attempts and until you have each trophy.
Run and Gunner - Kill 3 Helghast using an M82 or StA52 assault rifle without releasing the trigger or reloading, you'll need to go for head shots.
Killing Spree - Kill 5 Helghast in 15 seconds whilst on foot and maintaining at least 85% health. See the NOTE above.
Fragmerchant - Kill 5 Helghast using a single grenade. See the NOTE above.
Fragmartyr - Kill 2 Helghast whilst taking your own life. See the NOTE above.
Melonpopper - 15 headshots using the sniper rifle. Simplest place for this is on Salamun Bridge. Just after you lower the bridge there's a sniper rifle in the rack and if you look out of the control room there's a fixed gun which is manned by Helghan's. Just take them out and wait a while and more will appear so you can get all 15 kills in this one spot.
Stick Around - Nail 20 Helghast to the wall. You can do this on Suljeva Village or on the train in Tharsis Refinery but the Village will be the easiest place.
Master Conductor - Electrocute 3 Helghast at once with the VC5 Electricity Gun, just charge the gun up after killing the Arc Trooper and let rip, keeping the fire button held down.
Defensive Fighter - Kill 30 Helghast with an emplaced weapon. Keep reloading and replaying Visari Square until you pick this one up.
Can Opener - Destroy a Helghast APC. You'll pick this up just by playing through the game as you have to kill APC's on a couple of levels.
Spare Parts - Destroy all Leech Pods. As soon as you jump on the Cannon on the Cruiser level you need to aim down and to the right by the large cruiser. It will begin ejecting the Leech Pods that you need you to kill while you ignore the fighter ships. Once they're all done swing to the left and repeat on the second Cruiser.
Treadhead - Kill 30 Helghast whilst in the tank. You only get to drive the tank on the first level so just run over, gun down and blow up anything that moves then simply repeat the checkpoint.
Mechspert - Stomp 10 Helghast while in the Mech on Maelstra Barrens, just run them over and don't shoot, replaying the section until you get it.
Career Ribbon - Reach the rank of General in Warzone
NOTE - To check how many points are needed for the next four trophies you have to log into Killzone.com and look at the leaderboards. Select the 'Weekly' filter and in the top left hand corner it will tell you how many players have been active that week so you can work out which rank you need for each trophy. If you're in the top 1% you will pick up all 4 trophies, top 3% and you'll get 3 tophies, etc.
Valor Grand Cross - Be in the top 1% of point scorers for a week on Warzone. The week runs from Midnight on Sunday
Valor Cross - Be in the top 3% of point scorers for a week on Warzone. The week runs from Midnight on Sunday
Valor Medal - Be in the top 6% of point scorers for a week on Warzone. The week runs from Midnight on Sunday
Valor Citation - Be in the top 10% of point scorers for a week on Warzone. The week runs from Midnight on Sunday

Cross Training Ribbon - Acquire all badge specific medals. These medals are Explosives Expert, Master of Disguise, Forward Observer, Shadow Marshall, Defensive Specialist, Front Runner, Field Mechanic, Aerial Support, Spawn Authority, Field Medic and Trauma Surgeon.
Veteran Ribbon - Acquire all mission specific medals during online play. These medals are Defence Initiative, Corpse Counters, Bodyguard Alliance, Assassins League, Bomb Squad and Retrieval Corps.
Expert Ribbon - Acquire all combat specific medals. These are Head Fetish,Black Belt, Hawk's Eye and Quick Draw.
Wargod Ribbon - Acquire all remaining medals. This trophy is notoriously bugged and seems to get awarded completely at random, usually when you pick up your first online medal.
Blitzkrieg Ribbon - Win 50 online matches
